ENEMY MAKES AN ATTACK

RUGBY, September 6.

A communique issued by British General Headquarters in Cairo states, that a raid occurred last night in Alexandria, Cairo, and the Canal zone. It resulted in three persons being killed in Alexandria and two killed and one injured in the Canal zone. . There was slight-damage to property and there was an alert in Cairo and the Delta provinces. A communique issued in Nicosia, Cyprus, states that enemy aircraft crossed the island early yesterday morning and dropped bombs in open country. No damage or casualties are reported.—B.O.W.
