:.The death is announced of Mr. Percy B. Jenkin, one Gf the best-known journalists in Australia.
Mr. Jenkin was, until the time of his recent illness, Chief Press Censor for the Commonwealth Department of Information.' tEe"succeeded, as wartime Press, controller 7, Sir Keith Murdoch, who was ' Director-General of Information in the first year of the war.
Mr. Jenkin, one of Australia's most popular journalists, was editor of the "News," Adelaide, when war broke out, and had been attached to newspapers in Melbourne and Perth in various executive capacities.
