PLANE TOTALLY WRECKED

(P.A.) BLENHEIM, This Day. The crash occurred about 7.20 p.m., soon after Hathaway had taken off on exercises involvin' i wide circuit of the aerodrome. Tl. machine was seen losing height from about 800 feet. The crash took place on a low foothill about three miles south-west of the aerodrome, just as the pilot was turning preparatory to coming in to land. The machine was totally wrecked. It did not catch fire.
