WELCOMED IN CHINA
ATLANTIC DECLARATION

NEW YORK, August 18,
The Foreign Minister of China, Dr. Quo Tai-chi. stated in Chungking that the Government and the people of China wholeheartedly welcomed and endorsed the Anglo-American declaration.
A broadcast from Tokio picked up by the Columbia Broadcasting Corporation said that the Chungking Government was preparing to build fourteen airfields for the use of Britain, the United States, and Russia.
