Three professional contests were featured on the programme arranged by the Auckland Boxing Association at the Town Hall.

• Private Henry Robertson (Auckland), lOst 121b, beat Ken Reid (Taranaki), lOst 31b, the latter being compelled to withdraw at the end of the fourth round with a deep cut over the left eyebrow.

The second match was between two Auckland welterweights, Bert McKay, lOst 71b, and Bill Little, lOst 51b, and was won by the latter on points.

Geoff Thomas (Taranaki), 9st lib, beat Billy Brown (Wellington), Bst 12Jlb, on points in a featherweight contest.
