POPULAR AS EVER

Webby's Club was as popular as ever over the weekend. Friday evening's informal dance was made even more enjoyable by items given by Joan Vause. a member of the club, and also by a member of the Women's Auxiliary Air Force stationed at Rongotai. Yesterday there was also a large attendance and the girls who acted as hostesses found themselves kept very busy. A vote of thanks was extended to Peter Jefferies who supplied the excellent music during the afternoon and evening.

Miss Greenwood presided at a recent meeting of the Levin Memorial Home Committee. The matron in her report stated that the children were all well and back at school. It was decided to hold the annual gift tea eai*ly in October. The committee is* grateful to many generous donors for gifts during the month.
