MAY GET NEW LEG

Captured British Ace

LONDON, August 16.

The Luftwaffe has sent a message to the R.A.F. through the Red Cross offering to allow a Briton to fly across the Channel with a new metal leg for the legless pilot, Wing Commander Bader, who is reported to be a prisoner in Germany after recent operations, says the "Daily Express."

There are several spare legs belonging to Wing Commander Bader at the air station in South England from which he led his wing of fighters. If the offer is accepted, the leg will probably be dropped by parachute over German-occu-pied territory. .

There is considerable competition at Wing Commander Bader's station for the job of delivering the leg.
