ECONOMIC SURVEY IN ASIA
LONDON, August 17
President Roosevelt has decided on an economic survey in south-east Asia.
A Manila message says he has appointed a special investigator who will visit the Philippines, Hong Kong, the Netherlands East Indies. Malaya, Burma, and India. The object of the survey is to keep raw materials moving from the Orient to the democratic countries and out of the reach of the enfimy.
