PRESIDENT TO LAND SOON
LONDON, August 15, All America is eagerly awaiting the return of President Roosevelt from his historic meeting at sea with Mr. Churchill. Mr. Sumner Welles, Under-Secretary of State, and Mr. Harry Hopkins, Administrator of the Lend and Lease Act, who took part in the three days' discussions, have already landed at Portland, Maine. It is expected that the President will disembark there tomorrow. His arrival is being awaited by representatives of nearly all America's leading newspapers, as it is expected that Mr. Roosevelt will hold a P,ress conference as soon as he lands and will give further details of his talks with the British Prime . Minister. It is revealed that the leaders met on August 10 on board Britain's newest battleship, the Prince of Wales, and that other discussions were held on board the United States 9000-ton cruiser Augusta.
