(To the Editor.) Sir,—Now that our petrol has been further curtailed, how soon can one expect to have an early morning and evening return train to Paraparaumu? We had hoped that when a well-filled petition was forwarded to the Railway Department and discreet" inquiries made by the train guards as to how we managed to get to Paekakariki to catch the early train, our hopes were high. Let us trust now that the Railway Department will do its part.—l am, etc., DAILY TRAVELLER. [The Railway Department advises that the matter of providing daily transport for early morning and evening travellers residing at Paraparaumu is under consideration, and it is hoped to inaugurate a suitable service between there and Wellington at an early date.]
