PARAMOUNT THEATRE.

New Bill Tomorrow.

Smoothly blending stirring drama and bright comedy, Paramount's Technicolor production "Virginia" commences, tomorrow at the Paramount, with Madeleine Carroll and Fred Mac Murray in the starring roles. Featuring Stirling Hayden, young screen newcomer, in an important role, the picture tells an exciting story of a modern Southern girl, reared in the North, who comes face to face with the problem of having to choose between the North and the South, romantically speaking. Beautiful Madeleine Carroll is the girl who finally decides her heart belongs to the Southland. Fred Mac Murray is the romantic interest, winning for the South over the ardent courtship campaign waged by the handsome, dashing young Northerner, Hayden. With William Holden, Bonita Granyille, Ezra Stone, and Judith Barrett at the head of the cast, Paramount's new comedy romance about college life, "Those Were the Days," will be the second feature. Based on the. riotous Siwash stories by George Fitch, this is the picture which presents a true idea of what college life was like at the turn of .the century in. America. For more than sixty minutes the narrative is peppered with hilarious incidents, love making in the old horse-and-buggy style, and attacks —sometimes subtle but more often obvious— on professors who think marks are important.
