NEW ZEALAND INTEREST

v The wedding of Miss Joan Raymond Charlton, only daughter of the Hon. Mr. F. R. Charlton^ 0.8. E., Director of Lands, Mines, and Surveys, and the late Mrs. Charlton, of Suva, formerly of Auckland, to Mr. Archibald Cameron Reid, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Reid, of Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland, took place last Saturday, July 26, at Holy Trinity Pro-Cathedral, Suva. Bishop Kempthorne, Bishop in Polynesia, officiated.

The bride, who -was given away by her father, was attended by Mrs. Geoffrey Upton (Auckland), wife of Captain G. Upton, of the Fiji Defence Force. Mr. David Collins, of the Secretariat, attended the bridegroom as best man.

A reception was held in a marquee in the grounds of the Grand Pacific Hotel. The bride and bridegroom are to go to Loma Lomai in the Lav Group, where Mr. Reid will take up the position of district officer for the Fiji Government.
