PROMISE HOLDS GOOD
Concern amongst members of the Home Guard by a case reported recently from Southland of a guardsman not receiving conipeni sation for an injury on parade has been removed. It has been made clear by the Minister in Charge , of War Pensions (Mr. Jones) that there is provision for Home Guardsmen injured in the course of training to make claims under the War Pensions Act. In the early stages of organising the Home Guard the "liability clause" on the original attestation form was regarded widely- as likely to have an adverse effect upon enrolments. That
