WOMAN'S DEATH
MOTOR COLLISION
TWO OTHERS INJURED
(P.A.) PALMERSTON N., This Day,
One woman was fatally injured and two others badly hurt as a result of a motor collision on the Foxton-Sanson highway yesterday.
Mrs, Elizabeth Powell, aged 51, of Tangimoana, died after admission to hospital, and those injured were Mrs Mar gar el Remnant, of Rongotea, abrasions and fractured ribs, condition dan. gerous; Mrs. F. W, Osborne, of Te Aroha, lacerations and possible fracture of the skull, condition serious.
One car was driven by Mr. M. H. Davies, farmer, of Te Aroha, and the other by Mrs. Remnant. Mrs. Osborne was in the car driven by Mr. Davies and Mrs. Powell was a passenger in Mrs. Remnant's car, which had one side torn off.
