GROCERY LINES.
Cabled advices from, Penang indicate an upward tendency in the tapioca market, but Singapore quotations shbw no change. Advices from Colombo are to the effect that ho change in price of desiccated coconut is expected for May and June forward business, but for July an ad-, vanoe of 25s a ton is notified. Prices of canned Singapore : pineapples are unchanged. Australian . dried . fruits are steady in price but an advance in July is expected. The Burma rice market is described as steady, Citric acid is unobtainable from England and very little is coming from Australia. No tartaric acid ,is available from England and barely any from Australia.
