LOSS SHOWN
KELBURN-KARORI BUS
SERVICE
During the past year the result of operations had not been as satisfactory as they would have liked, said Mr. W. Sim in moving the adoption of the balance-sheet of the Kelburn-Karori Motor Bus C 0.," Ltd., at the annual meeting recently. The profit and loss account showed a loss of £69. It. had been necessary to curtail the service somewhat and make certain retrenchments, which, he thought, would ease the position and give them better results this year. Mr. W. M. Page said he was rather disappointed at what appeared to be a .lack of loyalty amongst some of the members and he thought also that better support might have been given by the people of the district, The service had now been running for over 14 years and had filled a want in the district. It was still needed and he hoped that the coming year would show an improvement. The report and accounts were adopted. The retiring director, Mr. H. L. Holthouse, and the retiring auditor, Mr. W. G. Talbot, were re-elected. The meeting accorded a vote of thanks to directors and. staff for their services.
