FRANCO-GERMAN ACCORD
REPORTED TERMS
TERRITORIAL TITLES
(Rec. 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 19. The "Daily Express" says that a joint Franco-German announcement is expected in a few days as a result of the latest talks between Admiral Darlan and the Axis leaders. This, however, is likely to uncover only the more innocuous parts of any new agreement. Full accord is reported to have been reached on the following terms: (1) That Mussolini shall abandon his daim to Nice and Savoy; (2) that Hitler in return shall present Croatia to Mussolini; (3) that Admiral Darlan shall admit Mussolini's title to the French colonies of Tunis and Corsica; (4) that Admiral Darlan shall collaborate fully with Germany. The Franco-German collaboration which has already been exposed in Syria, it is stated, is to be extended as circumstances dictate. —U.P.A.
