GERMAN SUPPLIES

A JAPANESE REPORT

TURKISH CONSENT

(Rec. 11 a.m.) TOKIO, May 19. According to a dispatch from Istanbul to the newspaper "Nichi Nichi Shimbun," Turkey has given her tacit consent to all German requests, including permission for Nazi troops to cross Turkish territory into Irak. Three Nazi ships loaded with explosives and arms, it is stated, have already left Constanta for Samsun, a Turkish port on the Black Sea, whence the cargoes will be shipped though Turkey to Irak. It is understood that a Nazi force numbering approximately 10,000 will soon arrive at Samsun to aid the Irakis. —U.P.A.
