AUSTRALIAN ATTACK
TOBRUK DEFENCES
STRONGPOINTS TAKEN
SERIOUS ENEMY ; LOSSES .
LONDON, May 18. .
A communique issued today says that Australian troops, extending the area of a successful counter-attack made yesterday, recaptured a number of strongpoints in the outer defences of Tobruk, and took 25 German prisoners. The enemy again suffered serious losses, including two medium tanks.
In the Sollum, Fort Capuzzo, and Halfaya Pass area British mechanised patrols are continuing their progress satisfactorily. ,
