ARRESTS IN GERMANY
SEQUEL TO HESS'S
FLIGHT

The Berlin correspondent of the Swedish newspaper "Goteborgs Posten" reports that Frau Hess was arrested by the Nazis two days ago and that a multitude of arrests followed Hess's flight, including hundreds in Berlin. The police are even arresting anyone caught discussing the Hess affair. The correspondent adds that secret police are questioning Professor Messcrschmitt about the plane Hess used.
The British Broadcasting Corporation, broadcasting to Germany, said that there are widespread reports of an extensive purge in Germany, and many arrests of Herr Hess's associates, especially occultists.
