APPOINTMENTS GAZETTED

The following appointments, promotions, or transfers of officers in the Wellington area have been gazetted:— Major R. B. Ashe, M.C., V.D., N.Z. Corps ot Signals, is appointed Chief Signals Officer, Army Headquarters, Wellington. ~ " James Cormick to be Lieutenant, and is .appointed Staff Officer to the Director-General of Medical Services. Army Headquarters. Wellington.

Second Lieutenant R. D. Hayes, 2nd Composite Company. N.Z. Army Service Corps, to be Lieutenant, and is appointed Assistant Adjutant,- 2nd Composite Company, and sth Reserve Mechanical Transport Company, N.Z. Army Service Corps. Wellington. Major H. M. W. Richardson, D.5.0., M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Staff Officer, Fortifications and Works. Army Headquarters. is appointed Assistant Director of Fortifications and Works, Army Headquarters, and is granted' the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while so employed.
