'Uncertainty in handling by the back line Was costly for University against Johnsonville, at Johrisohville. In the first spell particularly several scoring' opportunities were lost. Once again the good work of the Johnsonville pack paved the way for the suburban side's success. Ably led by A. Kenny and S. Gemmell, the pack dominated the play in the iflrst. spell, but after the interval the Univer.sity'vanguard appeared to -better advantage, Webb and Shannon being prominent. B. Kenny, ;Masterton, A. Mcßride, and Halliwell each •scored a try for Johnsonville, and Skelly kicked a penalty goal for University. Result: Johnsonville 12, University 3. Mr. T. Weatherburn was the referee.
