KEEN SENIOR CONTESTS
SATURDAY'S PLAY
The fourth series of senior first division matches in the Wellington Rugby Union's competition on Saturday provided much keen and interesting football. Wellington, Athletic, and Johnsonville, as yet undefeated, each had a convincing success, with Wellington having an easier path than the others and running up a big score. Interest; was stirred, and the liveliness of much i of the play in the two matches at Ath-1 letic Park aroused a lot of enthusiasm, j In the case of some of the teams there was a marked improvement in form, indicating that the keeness of competi- j tion is likely to be even more pronounced as the championship progresses. The Hutt (Army) team was again to the fore on Saturday, this time overwhelming their opponents.. RESULTS AT A GLANCE. Senior First Division.
