It is officially stated in Rome that Brigadier-General Miele, Chief of Staff in the Superior Command of the' i Italian forces in North Africa, has died of wounds received in a British air 1 raid on Tripoli.—U.P.A. The Rev. Herbert W. Newell has received the following amounts, marked "Giving, Not Gambling," which have been forwarded to the patriotic fund: ' £50, £5, £3, 10s; total, £58 10s.
