Mr. E. Caradus, chief inspector of secondary schools, has been appointed adviser on education to the New Zealand Naval Board.

Mr. R. P. Connell, organiser of farm production for the National Primary Production Council, will succeed Mr. R. McGillivray as Fields Superintendent of the Department of. Agriculture at Christchurch. Mr. McGillivray retired last month and is going to Australia.
