Gratification at the large numbers of veterans who paraded on Anzac Day. when a wreath was placed on the Cenotaph, was expressed at the monthly -meeting of the Wellington South African War Veterans' Association. It was decided to express the association's thanks to the Police Pipe Band, which led the procession, and to thank ■ the Commissioner of Police for allowing the band to parade,
