The weekend weather should be mainly fair, but a southerly change late on Sunday is likely. The general forecast for the Dominion as a whole is for winds generally moderate in force. Westerlies to north-westerlies will soon, prevail over the northern half of the North Island, with northerlies to north-easterlies elsewhere, but a change to fresh southerlies is likely in the far south after about 24 hours. The weather will be cloudy generally, with widespread morning fog or drizzle, and some scattered showers are probable in and west of the high country of the North Island, in Southland, and in southern Otago. Temperatures will be moderate. . '
