AGAIN RAIDED
HARBOUR AT RHODES
AIR FIGHT OVER MALTA
(British Official Wireless.)
(Received February 15, 12.30 p.m.)
RUGBY, February 14,
An R.A.F. (Middle East) communique states that on the night of February 12-13 heavy bombers carried out an attack «n the harbour at Rhodes. Several Ifres were started at the junction of the mole and the naval harbour, and they were still burni.i.. when the aircraft left the target.
R.A.F. fighters encountered a JU 88 and a number of enemy fighters over Malta yesterday. The JU 88 was hit by anti-aircraft fire and when last seen was losing height, with smoke pouring from one engine. It is very doubtful whether it can have reached its base.
