After a year of difficulties in" estab Lishing a new undertaking in" New Zea land, Maralhon Rubber Footwear, Ltd., Christchurch, reports a profit for the year to October; 31 of £7297 lls Id Vn.o.t allowing for depreciation, income tax, and directors' fees). - After allqwi & ■; £2341 for . depreciation, • setting aside £2300 for income taxi allowing £300 -for directors' fees, and writing off preliminary expenses of £460 16s 3d (subject to shareholders' approval), there is a balance of £1895 14s lOd. A dividend of 6 per cent, from which social security and national security taxes are deductible, will absorb £1068, le*ving £827 14s lOd to carry forward.
