PERSONAL NOTES
Sir Llewelyn and Lady Dalton are paying a short visit to Napier. Sir Llewelyn, who was knighted in 1938, has been Chief Justice of Tanganyika since 1936, and before that . was a puisne judge in Ceylon for 11 ears. Lady Reed, Wellington, who arrived at Auckland yesterday, is staying at the Station* Hotel.
Mrs. Manhire, Papanui Road, Christchurch/is. the guest of her son and daughter-in-law, Squadron Leader and Mrs. Manhire, Lower Hutt.
Dr. and Mrs. R. W. Bellringer, formerly -of Sunnyside, have • left Christchurch, for Hokitika, where Dr. Bellringer will take up his new position at the mental hospital.
Lady Ward, Christchurch, who has been spending a few days in Dunedin, is now in JnvercargilL
Miss Edith Hind, Wellington, who is visiting Rotorua, is prolonging her stay till March.
Miss Nancy Nicholson returned to Christchurch yesterday "after spending several weeks in Wellington.
Mrs. Blackler, who for five years has been matron of Selwyn House Sch6ol, Christchurch, has been appointed matron of the Waitaki Girls' High School, and will leave to take up her new position early in March.
Mrs. Campbell Gebbie, Christchurch, has returned home from a visit to Hawke's Bay and Wellington. ,\
