The joint statement issued after the meeting of the Advisory War Council stated: ••■•,•■; "A complete review was made of the existing situation and its implications. These can only be described as being of most serious import. It is necessary to say that various contingencies of the next few weeks have been taken into account and that effective preparatory, measures have been taken."
