DAHLIAS AND GLADIOLI
Arrangements for the gladioli and dahlia show which is being held by the Hutt. Valley Horticultural Society in conjunction with the Dahlia Society of New Zealand were. reported by the secretary aj a recent meeting of the society. The show will be held on Wednesday and Thursday next and will be officially opened by the Bishop of Wellington (the Rt. Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland).
The secretary reported that the :how promised to be the largest of its kind ever held in Lower Hutt. Dahlias were coming from all over the Dominion and space had been applied for by nurserymen and private grow ers from as far as Timaru and North Auckland. Begonias will be a prominent feature.
