CHIEF JUSTICE APPOINTED ADMINISTRATOR
Simultaneously with the departure of Lord Galway, a Proclamation was issued announcing that, in accordance with the usual practice, the Chief Justice. Sir Michael Myers, had assumed office as Administrator of the Government of New Zealand. He will act in that capacity until Lord Galway's successor, Sir Cyril Newall, arrives and is sworn in as Governor-General of New Zealand.
