UNA HILL GOLD
Una Hill Consolidated Gold Mines, Ltd., in reporting upon the operations at Thames, state: "During the week ended January 31 the rises north and south were continued. Work prepara tory to stoping is well in hand. Both rises have connected with the reef, the first lot of picked stone to be secured in the south side amounting to 61b. Crushing return: Seven loads of general dirt and 561b of picked stone were treated for a return of 80oz Bdwt of bullion, valued at £580. The stone was worth about £6 per lb, and the genera] dirt about £14 per ton."
