CAPTURE OF CIRENE
ROAD JUNCTION
ADVANCE UNITS PRESS ON
LONDON, February 4
British Imperial Forces in Libya arc reported tonight to have captured Cirene, GO miles beyond Derna.
An official communique from Cairo says our advance westwards continues, and that forward elements of our troops entered Cirenc.
Renter's special correspondent says that some of the British advance units are believed to -have pressed beyond Cirenc, which lies at ihe junction of two roads, both of which run through the mountains of Cyrenaica to Benghazi, about 130 miles away.
