NORTHLAND BRANCH
The Northland Home Guard held its fourth parade at the Northland Fire Station last evening. The unit of about 50 strong inarched to the school grounds and continued its military and,physical training. The efficiency of the unit is increasing, and intending members are urged to enrol as soon as possible so as not to retard progress. The unit is under the command of Mr. A. F. Hicks, late N.Z. Defence Forces, and Mr. H. Mitchell, who trained with the Physical Welfare Department, is acting as instructor. Parades are held every Tuesday at 7 p.m. The recruiting depot at the fire station is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
