HONOURED GRAVE
NEW ZEALAND AIRMAN
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
HASTINGS, February 1,
An indication of the consideration which the Air Ministry shows for the relatives of dead airmen is given in a letter and photographs which have been received by Mr. W. Miller, of Hastings, whose son, Sergeant Pilot H, G. Miller, was killed in an aircraft accident in England: last August.
The letter was written by the officer commanding a Royal Air Force operational training unit, and accompanying it were photographs showing the funeral procession t6 the churchyard, the coffin being borne from the church, the guard of honour firing a volley over the grave, and the grave heaped with flowers.
The letter and photographs were sent in duplicate by different mails,to ensure that the intended recipient. would receive them.
