ART GALLERY
Amid the handsome setting of the National Art Gallery, Buckle Street, many people interested in art were present last night to view the new collection "of facsimile colour reproduce tions of famous paintings. The exhibition was opened by Dr. A. D, Carbery in the absence of the chairman, Mr. D. A. Ewen, M.8.E., and an interesting address was given by Dr. Carbery. Others in the official party were Lady Shirtcliffe, Mr. and Mrs. T D. H. Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Fearn, Mr. A. B. Thompson (Auckland); Mr. Ernest Hunt, Mr. H. C. McQueen, Mr. Eru Gore, and Mr. F. H. Bass. ;
Attractive evening gowns were worn by many of the women present, the mild summer evening enhancing the occasion, for few furs or wraps
