Guides and Guiders. Two Guide companies from Wanganui, Christ Church and Manaakitia, have just concluded an enjoyable and successful camp at "Glenmore," the homestead of Mr. Hugh Cameron, writes "The Post's" representative. At the conclusion of. the holiday, the Cameron, Harris, and Taylor families were the guests of honour at a party at the camp. Interesting Taihape Wedding. At St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taihape, the wedding took place recently of Margaret, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. Hall, and Raphael, fourth son of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Mickleson, Tirirawaka, writes "The Post's" representative. Nuptial Mass was celebrated. The bridesmaids were Misses S. Hall, D. Mickleson, Shirley Clay, and Patsy Clay (Wellington), D. Williams and P. Corston (Auckland). The bride wore pearl-tinted satin, and the bridesmaids georgette in shades of lavender, gold, fuchsia, green, pink, and blue. The reception was held in the Town Hall supper room. The handsome cake was made by Mrs. L. Swenson, Lower Hutt. Nursery Festivities. Through the kindness of the com: mercial travellers, the various branches of the Women's National Reserve, and numerous friends and supporters, the little inmates of the Residential Nursery had a very happy Christmas Day. The centre of attraction was a Christmas tree hung with bright flags and laden with all the things that delight the eyes of a child. This was the work of Matron McKibbin and Sister McWhirter. The children in party frocks and wearing paper hats, given by Mrs. Collifer, made a pretty picture as they awaited the giving of presents from the tree. The rooms of the nursery were decorated with flowers grown in the nursery garden. The committee and matron desire to thank many friends for gifts of money and in kind.
