HOUSES SET ON FIRE

"The enemy dropped explosives and incendiaries in several localities in northern Germany. They set on fire houses at Wilhelmshaven, where the casualties were 20 dead and 35 wounded. Some .fire bombs started fires in the port area, but there was no damage worthy- of note." An Italian communique* admits damage from a British raid on Catania. Some civilians were killed and others wounded.
