ANNIVERSARY DAY EXCURSION TO PICTON.

The Wahine will make an excursion to Picton on Anniversary Day. leaving Wellington at 8 a.m. She should cross the open part of the Strait in about an hour and a half, then will follow the run up beautiful Tory Channel and Queen Charlotte Sound to Picton. Here the excursionists will be allowed about three hours ashore before the return trip is started at 2.30 p.m. The means of entertainment are many. During the time the Wahine is in Picton excursionists can run up to Blenheim and back by the special train which leaves Picton at 11.45 a.m. and Blenheim on the return journey at 1.25 p.m., or they can take one of the special launches to beauty spots across the Sound. The Wahine will leave Picton on the return trip at 2.30 p.m. and should arrive at Wellington shortly before 6 p.m.
