The Minister of Lands (Mr. Langstone) returned to Wellington from the south this morning. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr. Holland) will return south by tonight's steamer express. Mr. R. Kettle, M.C., Retired List, has, according to the Gazette, been appointed Assistant Provost Marshal, Corps of N.Z. Military Police, and is seconded to Army Headquarters, Wellington, for duty.
