(Received January. 13, 8 a.m.)
LONDON, January 12,
Enemy attacks on London last night began soon after dark and continued for about three hours. Explosive bombs caused damage and a number of persons were killed or injured. Fires which were started by incendiaries were promptly dealt with, and most of them were soon put out.
Bombs were also dropped in several districts in the London area and places in south and south-east England, but few did any damage. No one was killed.
Royal Air Force bombers last night attacked objectives at Turin (Italy) and Wilhelmshaven.
