GERMAN BOMBS IDENTIFIED
LONDON, January 10,
The Minister of Justice stated that 80,000 of the local defence personnel have been transferred from the control of the police to the military and that a further 50,000 have been attached to the police as an auxiliary force.
The Department of Defence in Eire announced that bombs which were dropped by aircraft on Dublin on January 1 and 2 have been identified as German.
It is officially announced that from today the petrol ration in Eire is reduced to one-quarter of the normal allowance and that the price has been fixed at 2s 2d a gallon in the Dublin zone and 2s 3d elsewhere.
