EXTRA HOUR A DAY
CHAIN BUTCHERS AT
BELFAST
(By Telegraph—lVuss Association.)
CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Chain butchers at the Belfast works of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Co. are at present' working an extra hour every day. Instead of starting work at 8 o'clock in the morning the men begin at 7 o'clock. The decision to start at an earlier hour was made by the men because of the help it would give the war effort. The works will be full for some weeks and it is essential that the sheep should be killed as soon as possible, so as to keep up the continual supply of meat for export to Britain.
