REQUISITIONING BY GOVERNMENT
AGREEMENT ANNOUNCED

LONDON, January 1
Tanker companies have agreed to the Government requisitioning all tankers which hitherto have not been requisitioned or chartered. This completes the requisitioning of; oceangoing merchantmen except whaling factory ships and tankers engaged in local distribution or refining trades overseas. The agreement covers tankers under construction.
