Ideal weather attracted an excellent attendance on the opening day of the Stratford Racing Club's Summer Meeting. In spite of numerous scrnichings spirited bettinn: ensued, and this was reflected in a totalisator turnover of* £30,086 10s, compared with £26,988 10s on the corresponding day last year, an increase' of £3093.
