MATCH AT CHRISTCHURCH

CHRISTCHURCH, January 1,

The annual cricket match between Hutt Valley and Christchureh Suburban was started on Beckenhtim Park on a fast wicket and in Ideal weather. Hutt Valley won tho toss, and, batting first, scored 129 in two hours. A brilliant innings by L. Gordon for 81 wa3 the main means of securing a lead of 61 for Suburban, who compiled 190 in throe hours.
