GREEK WORKERS
MESSAGE TO N.Z.
CONFIDENCE IN VICTORY
The following message from the High Commissioner in London (Mr. Jordan) has been received by the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser):—
"The Greek Minister in London has requested me to transmit to New Zealand the following message received by him from Aristide Dimitratos, general secretary of the Greek Workers' National Confederation:—
" 'The general council of the Greek Workers' National Confederation assembled at Piraeus on December 15-17, conscious of the honour bestowed upon their work by the President of the Council, Monsieur Jean Metaxas, and proud of the fact that the youngest staff Greek trade union are taking part in the great fight against Italian imperialism; with full confidence arid certainty about the future and as to the victorious issue of the struggle which will toll the knell of^ Fascism and its method of perfidious plunder and outrage, has entrusted me with charging your Excellency and to the trade unions of New Zealand the greetings of victory.'"
