INVASION TALK
USE OF SILENT MOTORS
LONDON, December 29
According to a Berlin statement, an authorised air force spokesman said that the invention of the first successful bombers and speedboats with silent motors may permit of an invasion of England in the winter.
"It is highly possible," he said, "that one day this winter will be chosen to send over squadrons of silent bombers to attack England. Simultaneously an armada of speedboats would cut a way through the Channel or North Sea waters. Such an attack would be the first stage of an invasion."
